I am working with a client, i-Mobilize, that takes raw content and turns it into apps for sale on iTunes App Store.  These apps are for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and will soon be able to be played on Android and Blackberry as well as other operating systems that may come along.  The only thing they can’t play on is Amazon’s Kindle, which is okay for authors because it means that if you put your content out on i-Mobilize you are not cannibalizing your revenues from Amazon.

Here is the deal:

[1] No cost to you for conversion to apps and publishing on iTunes

[2] You get 50% revenue share

[3] Turn in your work in regular 8.5 x 11 PDF files and include a video and/or audio file talking about the project, if you wish.

[4] Color pictures are okay – in fact, the more graphics the better

[5] You market your apps.  We will also market them as part of our total marketing effort but may not ‘feature’ them as well as you can.

[6] Just email them to us or send on disc.

[7] For a modest extra charge that can be paid for through revenues we can provide you with the services of a professional publicist and can provide you with a professional Facebook page to help you market your work.  We have to charge for this to cover our costs.  However the Facebook page would be about $1000 and the publicist will be MUCH less expensive than you would have to pay on your own.

Price points on the apps seems to be in the area of $4.99 to $9.99
